"You must accommodate changing times but cling to unchanging principles."
You are who you run with. |
Relationships
Relationships first and foremost. At the heart of my work, I build, deepen, and bring intention and care to relationships. I connect, collaborate, ask questions, and listen. I respect people’s experience, time, and perspective.
|
The point is to get your work done, and your work is to change the world. |
Justice
I work with people at the forefront, behind-the-scenes, and all points in between who work for social, racial, and economic justice. Together, when we build political power, advocate for change, provide vital services, or ensure equity, justice is the goal and compass.

I'm a worker. |
Solidarity
From picket lines to political campaigns to how and where I spend my time and money, I believe in and practice solidarity. I stand with my fellow freelancers, with organizers, direct service and peer support workers, trainers and teachers, nonprofit employees, service workers, medical workers, public employees, and everyone who deserves respect, fair wages, affordable housing, and good benefits (everyone).
|
I've built most of my ideas around what teaching can be...allowing myself to learn from the people in the room and ask that we serve each other equally. |
Learning
As a training curriculum writer, trainer, and trainer-of-trainers, I engage adults in learning. With a trauma-informed approach, I create conditions and spaces where people can reflect, process, learn, and communicate effectively. I get a kick out of learning new things, ideas, or perspectives, knowing I always have more to learn and unlearn. I’m a nerdy and avid collector of resources and tools, and I share them generously.

Sooner or later, we discover that kindness is the only strength there is. |
Kindness
