“You are who you run with.” |
Relationships
Relationships first and foremost. At the heart of my work, I build, deepen, and bring intention and care to relationships. I connect, collaborate, stand with, ask questions, and listen. I respect people’s experience, time, and worldview.

“The point is to get your work done, and your work is to change the world.” |
Justice
I work with organizations and individuals at the forefront, behind-the-scenes, and all points in between who are working for social, racial, and economic justice. Together, when we are building political power, advocating for change, providing vital services, or ensuring equity, justice is the goal and compass.

“I'm going to do what I've always done. I'm going to move forward because backwards is not an option, and standing still is not enough.” |
Forward movement
Forward movement is purposeful action, whether we plan, organize, educate, advocate, teach, march, serve, vote, or lead. It’s taking one step or many, changing, growing, adapting, or evolving. It also means consciously and clearly deciding not to take action, or not right now, or to stop doing what we’ve always done. And moving forward requires reflection, too. We need to carve out the time and space to rest, synthesize, consider, and absorb.

“I've built most of my ideas around what teaching can be...allowing myself to learn from the people in the room and ask that we serve each other equally.” |
Learning
As a curriculum writer, trainer, and trainer-of-trainers, I share and expand my broad, trauma-informed experience engaging adults in learning. In training and facilitation, I draw on and share my understanding of and curiosity about how individuals and groups think, process, learn, heal, and communicate. I get a kick out of learning new things, ideas, or perspectives—and that I always have more to learn. I’m a nerdy, enthusiastic, and avid collector and sharer of resources, and tools.
